Forza Horizon 6 Reaches Gold Status and Reveals Graphics Modes on Xbox Series X/S
Forza Horizon 6 has reached 'gold' status, marking an important milestone in development, and along with this announcement, Playground Games has shared details on the graphics modes available for Xbox Series X/S.
On Xbox Series X, there will be two main configurations. The Quality Mode is designed to prioritize visual quality and offers a native 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, accompanied by a higher level of graphical detail compared to the other mode. This approach aims to ensure a richer and more defined visual experience.
The Performance Mode, on the other hand, is designed to prioritize smoothness. In this case, the game targets 60 FPS while maintaining a dynamic resolution that adapts to the scene's requirements to ensure frame rate stability. The resolution can vary, although the target remains 4K, with possible reductions during graphically complex moments.

On Xbox Series S, the settings are slightly scaled down. The Quality Mode offers a resolution of 1440p at 30 FPS, while the Performance Mode targets 1080p at 60 FPS. Again, both options utilize a dynamic resolution to keep the frame rate stable.
For those seeking the highest possible quality, the PC version represents the most advanced option. The game supports a preset called Extreme RT, which incorporates ray tracing, upscaled 4K resolution, and performance exceeding 60 FPS, but it requires particularly powerful hardware. However, even more traditional settings allow achieving native 4K with high performance.
The launch of Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled for May 19 on Xbox Series X/S and PC, while the PlayStation 5 version will arrive later in the year. The new chapter of the series thus confirms the developers' focus on balancing graphical quality and smoothness.
