Blink Wired Doorbell 2K+, offered at €31.99, is Blink's first wired video doorbell and is targeted at homes already equipped with wiring for traditional doorbells (compatible with 8–24V AC systems). Continuous wired power eliminates any worries about battery life, ensuring operational availability 24/7. The 2K resolution allows for precise recognition of faces, license plates, and details of packages left for delivery, while the wide-angle field of view ensures broad coverage of the entry area. The device integrates infrared night vision, motion detection with customizable zones, two-way audio with built-in microphone and speaker, and dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity.
On the other hand, Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+, available at €41.99 (or €47.99 with the Sync Module 2 included), stands out for its installation flexibility provided by lithium AA battery power, with an estimated battery life of up to two years under standard usage conditions, a distinctive feature of the Blink ecosystem due to the proprietary low-power chip. Compared to the previous generation, this model introduces the same 2K resolution and HDR but adds a head-to-toe view (extended vertical field of view), specifically designed to frame both the visitor and any packages left on the doorstep. This model also supports configurable motion detection, two-way audio, night vision, and dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity.
Both devices natively integrate with the Blink app (iOS and Android), allowing users to view the live view at any time, receive real-time push notifications upon motion detection or doorbell press, and manage clips and settings. Video storage is available through the Blink Subscription Plan (starting at €3.99/month per device, or €9.99/month for unlimited devices) or, for users with Sync Module 2, via local storage on USB drive at no additional cost. Both video doorbells are compatible with Alexa, allowing users to view the video feed on Echo Show screens and interact with the door via voice commands.
