Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8: all the rumors about the lightest and crease-free foldable coming this summer

The next Samsung flip foldable smartphone is approaching, and detailed information is starting to emerge from South Korea. According to sources close to the company, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will bring some significant updates in terms of design and materials, while maintaining some technical specifications unchanged from the previous model.

In terms of size, the device will reportedly be slightly wider than the Galaxy Z Flip 7. At the same time, the weight is expected to drop to approximately 180 grams, a reduction of eight grams compared to the current model's 188 grams. These changes should make the phone more comfortable to hold and more enjoyable for daily use.

Additional details on specifications and pricing of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8

The battery capacity is expected to remain at 4,300 mAh, as will the wired charging speed, which will stay at 25 watts. Other components, including the speakers and the vibration motor, will not receive substantial updates.

Under the hood, it is expected to house the Exynos 2600 processor, Samsung's proprietary chip. The camera setup will include a main sensor of 50 megapixels complemented by a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor. The operating system will be Android 17 with Samsung's proprietary interface One UI 9.

Sources indicate that the price will see a modest increase compared to the previous generation. The official presentation is expected to take place in July, coinciding with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and a wider variant of the latter.
