The Incredible Numbers of the Beijing Auto Show: Over 1 Million Visitors, 181 Previews

Yesterday marked the conclusion of the 2026 edition of the Beijing Auto Show, or more simply, the Beijing Auto Exhibition, which this year saw a massive participation of Western industry professionals. It is no longer a secret; Chinese brands are also key players in our markets, and the Chinese trade fair has perhaps become the most important appointment of the year.

The numbers are more than excellent, with over 1.28 million visitors over the ten days of opening, setting new records for the size of the event and attendance. The dual venue (China International Exhibition Centre and Capital International Exhibition Centre) covered 380,000 square meters, divided into 17 pavilions.

The volume of exhibited products is obviously huge: 1,451 vehicles, including 181 previews and 71 concept cars. Speaking of non-Chinese attendance, the event attracted 65,000 foreign visitors, including around 32,000 media representatives, with 4,125 from international outlets.

But the exhibitors were not just Chinese. The pavilions featured companies from 21 countries and regions, operating in practically every sector, leading to 219 press conferences, as well as more than 50 industry forums and various sessions. The major topics of this edition included battery technology, featuring higher energy density and up to 1,500 km of range, onboard AI integration, and the inevitable autonomous driving, focusing on level 3, LiDAR sensors, and computational processing.
