Samsung Galaxy S27: Styling Update Coming, Here's What Might Change
The Galaxy S27 series is already in development, and Samsung is reportedly considering an important change with the introduction of a new layout for the rear cameras. This update is not expected to involve the sensors but rather the design and position of the photographic components within the casing. The reason for this choice is tied to the introduction of Qi2 magnets for wireless charging and compatibility with various accessories. The classic "traffic light" layout of the rear cameras would pose an obstacle for Samsung, which might be forced to change its strategy.
A New Design?
Currently, the information is limited, and considering that the debut of the new S27s is still quite distant, Samsung may not have made a definitive decision yet. Among the most credible hypotheses is the introduction of a new design, featuring a novel layout for the rear cameras of the smartphones. Samsung might "test" this type of solution with new smartphones in the coming months (probably one or more components of the Galaxy Z series), anticipating their arrival on the Galaxy S27.
It cannot be ruled out, especially given the rising costs of components due to the memory crisis, that Samsung may choose to forgo the magnets and maintain the existing rear design of its flagship models, at least for the next generation. The smartphone market is facing a very complicated phase, and even Samsung must make compromises to find the right balance between new features, production costs, and design choices.
