PS Plus May 2026 Surprises: EA Sports FC 26 Joins the Free Games

Sony has officially announced the titles included in the monthly catalog of PlayStation Plus Essential for May 2026. Starting May 5, subscribers to the service will be able to add three new games to their library, available for a limited time but playable as long as the subscription remains active.

The standout title of the selection is EA Sports FC 26, the latest chapter of the popular football simulation. The inclusion of such a recent game represents one of the most significant offerings in recent months for the service. Additionally, users will receive an exclusive bonus content: the PlayStation Plus Icons Pack, redeemable during the month.

Alongside the sports title, the lineup includes Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, an action RPG in a "soulslike" style available on PS5. Set during the late Ming dynasty, the game offers a fantastic reinterpretation of the historical period, putting players in the shoes of the pirate Bai Wuchang, who is faced with a mysterious epidemic that has struck the game world.

The third free game for May with PS Plus is Nine Sols, a 2D action game with platforming elements and a hand-drawn artistic style. The gameplay is inspired by combat systems based on deflecting attacks, similar to those seen in productions like Sekiro. Players will confront ancient deities and uncover the secrets of a world once governed by a mysterious civilization.

The three games will be redeemable until the first days of June, when they will be replaced by a new selection. As usual, the titles will remain accessible in users' libraries even after the expiration date, as long as an active subscription is maintained at any level of PlayStation Plus.

In the meantime, the April games will remain available until May 4, offering more time to add them to accounts before the monthly rotation.
