TeamViewer Intelligent Agent Revamps and Automates Problem Resolution
The task of technical support is often based on the repetition of the same operations multiple times. In many cases, technicians simply suggest answers based on previously resolved support tickets.
For this reason, it is in call centers that AI is best showing its potential, freeing human staff from more repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on solving more complex problems.
TeamViewer wants to take this concept to the next level, and the first step is represented by the new AI features integrated into TIA (TeamViewer Intelligent Agent), which are capable of further increasing the level of automation.
New Features of TeamViewer Intelligent Agent for Automating Technical Problem Resolution
TeamViewer Intelligent Agent has been enhanced and is now capable not only of suggesting the correct answer to operators but also generating automations and scripts to automate the resolution of problems that have already been encountered and resolved by technicians.
The process is quite simple: upon receiving a report, the system first searches for the solution to the problem within the company's knowledge base. If a solution is found, TIA proposes to create an IA-generated script to be executed on the caller's devices to resolve the issue. Of course, before being deployed, this script will be verified and potentially refined by technicians. The solution also stands out for a peculiarity: unlike single remote support tools like DEX or RMM that operate in silos, TIA connects information related to the problem, basing each automation on resolution processes drawn from real context and the customer's history.
This is a further step towards what TeamViewer defines as Autonomous Endpoint Management.
"IT technicians are constantly under pressure to optimize available resources, yet too much time is still consumed by the repetitive resolution of the same tickets," says Mei Dent, Chief Product & Technology Officer at TeamViewer. "The new features of TIA transform every resolved issue into a valuable asset: a solution that can be verified, deployed, and used to protect other endpoints from similar issues. This is the practical meaning of consistent and scalable IT operational workflows on the path to Autonomous Endpoint Management."
