New CUPRA Born Exclusively Electric: Up to 326 HP, 631 km of Range and Shark Nose Design

CUPRA continues to rewrite the rules of sustainable mobility with the launch of the new CUPRA Born, the first car from the brand designed to be exclusively electric. With over 170,000 units sold since 2021, this evolution is not limited to aesthetics but aims directly at pure performance, now offering a range of powertrains that reach up to 326 HP (240 kW) in its most extreme version, the VZ. The new stylistic language translates into an overall length of 4,336 mm (increased by 12 mm compared to the previous version), while maintaining a wheelbase of 2,766 mm, ensuring top-tier spaciousness in its segment.

The exterior design of the new CUPRA Born embraces the "shark nose" concept, featuring a more aggressive front embellished with triangular signature Matrix LED headlights. It's not just about looks: aerodynamic efficiency is supported by new 19" and 20" alloy wheels with wider 235 mm tires, designed to channel the instant torque of the electric motors without losses. At the rear, the integrated and illuminated CUPRA logo stands out with a 3D effect, marking an unmistakable silhouette even at night.

Under the MEB platform, the new CUPRA Born offers three different configurations to meet every "green" mobility need. It starts with a 58 kWh battery (140 kW of power) and goes up to a 79 kWh battery pack, capable of ensuring a reference range of up to 631 km in the WLTP cycle. For those seeking excitement, the VZ version covers 0-100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h, proving that the energy transition need not compromise on excitement. The DC charging capability of up to 183 kW allows the battery to go from 10% to 80% in less than 29 minutes.

The cabin of the new CUPRA Born evolves towards higher quality and circular sustainability. The new CUPBucket seats (standard on the VZ) utilize backs made from 33% flax fiber, reducing the weight of the component by 50%. The dashboard is composed of 75% recycled materials, while SEAQUAL Yarn and Dinamica® (73% recycled) fabrics cover panels and seats. Dominating the center of the dashboard is the new 12.9" infotainment system with an Android operating system, accompanied by a larger 10.25" Virtual Cockpit.

Onboard technology makes a generational leap with the introduction of the One Pedal Driving system, which optimizes energy regeneration in the city, and Launch Control for the more powerful versions. Safety is ensured by Travel Assist 3.0, supported by the cloud, and the new Cross-road Assist system to prevent collisions at intersections. An interesting addition is the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function, which transforms the car into a mobile power bank for powering external devices, highlighting the versatility of the new CUPRA Born.

Production of this new chapter in electrification will begin in May 2026, with a market debut expected in the summer of the same year. With a trunk capacity of 385 liters and a technology package that includes immersive audio by Sennheiser, the new CUPRA Born is poised to be the ideal choice for those who want to drive change without sacrificing style.
