Cayenne Electric in Coupe Version: More Sportiness, More Range, but More Expensive
Porsche adds another piece to its zero-emission range with the new Cayenne Coupe Electric, a sportier variant compared to the traditional SUV. The model maintains significant dimensions with a length of 4,985 mm and a width of 1.98 meters, but sports a sleeker profile thanks to a reduced height of 24 mm, totaling 1.65 meters.
The vehicle retains a good load capacity: the trunk offers 534 liters, which becomes 1,347 liters when the rear seats are folded down. In addition, there is a front trunk with 90 liters, a common solution in modern electric platforms. Also available is the option to install a tow hitch with a capacity of up to 3.5 tons, along with an optional off-road package.
The technical base is the PPE (Premium Platform Electric), already utilized in other electric models of the brand. The 800-volt system is one of the central elements of the project: the Cayenne Coupe Electric can achieve a charging power of up to 390 kW, with peaks reaching 400 kW under specific conditions. This allows it to go from 10% to 80% in about 16 minutes. For AC charging, the onboard charger offers 11 kW as standard, with an upgrade option to 22 kW.
The range consists of three variants: the base version, Cayenne S Electric, and Cayenne Turbo Electric, all equipped with all-wheel drive. This choice differentiates this model from other proposals in the group that also offer single-motor configurations.
Being an EV, the aerodynamics of the body also impact efficiency: the drag coefficient drops to 0.23, compared to 0.25 for the SUV version. This improvement provides an increase in WLTP range of up to 18 km, with a maximum declared value reaching 669 km, although complete data for all versions have not yet been released.
Porsche positions the Cayenne Coupe Electric slightly above the standard variant. The price starts at approximately €108,000 (or €3,800 more than the €105,200 of the Cayenne Electric SUV). For the S version, the difference rises to €3,900, while the Turbo keeps the same price list as its SUV counterpart.
