Dyson Supersonic Travel: the new compact hairdryer arrives in Italy

Dyson expands its hair care lineup with the debut of the new Supersonic Travel, a deeply revised version of its most iconic hairdryer, specifically designed to address the typical space and electrical compatibility limitations of international travel. The product re-engineering has resulted in a 32% more compact machine body and an overall weight reduction of 25% compared to the original model. The result is a device that weighs less than a can of soda, making it easier to carry in hand luggage or gym bags without sacrificing motor performance.

The internal architecture maintains the motor placement in the handle to preserve the ergonomic balance, a distinctive feature of the series since its launch in 2016. The intelligent heat control technology remains a cornerstone of the system: a dedicated sensor measures the temperature of the airflow 100 times per second, preventing extreme heat from damaging hair fibers or compromising the hair's natural shine.

Dyson Supersonic Travel: the hairdryer for travelers

The automatic voltage adaptation system is one of the features that makes this product suitable for travelers. The Supersonic Travel can recognize and configure itself automatically according to the electrical network of the country it is plugged into, ensuring consistent airflow and temperatures in every geographic context.

Regarding compatibility, Dyson chose not to isolate the new model, which is the only hairdryer in its category to support the entire ecosystem of magnetic accessories from the Dyson Supersonic and Supersonic Nural series. This allows users to utilize concentrator nozzles, diffusers, and specific attachments they already own, extending styling versatility even outside their homes.

The company accompanies the hardware launch with a new topical solution: the Dyson Omega leave-in spray conditioner. This formulation features the Dyson Oli7 blend, which includes sunflower seed oil sourced from Dyson Farming, designed to combat frizz and protect hair from the hygrometric variations typical of airplane cabins or humid climates. The Dyson Supersonic Travel will be available in Italy starting from April 21, 2026, with the sales package including the concentrator styling attachment at a price of 299 euros. It will be possible to test the product at Dyson Demo Stores and selected retail partners throughout the country.
