Xbox Game Pass Will Change: Among the New Features a Tier with First-Party Games and a Bundle with Netflix?

It's a period of changes in the Xbox camp: the new CEO, Asha Sharma, aims to update Game Pass with the goal of aligning it more closely with Microsoft's objectives and, therefore, attracting as many users as possible without weighing too heavily on the financial results of the gaming division. To achieve this goal, a new subscription plan could be introduced.

The Game Pass Updates

During this period, according to a new report, Microsoft is evaluating the options at its disposal with the aim of reforming Game Pass, which is considered too expensive and would require modifications to the structure of the various tiers, at least according to recent rumors.

In the near future, Microsoft could launch a new version of Game Pass that includes only first-party games (thus eliminating the need to bear costs for licenses of new titles from other publishers).

There's also a possible bundle on the horizon with third-party services and, in particular, with Netflix. Microsoft might propose a subscription that includes Netflix to increase the value of Game Pass and attract the attention of casual gamers.

Another option on the table is a partial exit of the Call of Duty series from Game Pass. The upcoming chapters of the series may not be available at launch in Game Pass's catalog and may only come later.
