The Trump Mobile T1 Changes Again and Becomes a Rebranded HTC Smartphone

Almost a year after its introduction, the T1, the first smartphone from Trump Mobile, also known as the Trump Phone, still remains a mystery. The model in question is still in a pre-order phase where users have the chance to reserve the device by paying a deposit of $100 to join a waiting list. However, the smartphone has changed and now features a new design and also new specifications. As highlighted by The Verge, which noted the updates, the smartphone appears to be a rebrand of the HTC U24 Pro.

The "New" T1

According to the information available on the official website, the new Trump Mobile T1 will feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz panel and will be powered by a Snapdragon SoC (the specific model is not mentioned). The presence of a 5,000 mAh battery with 30 W wired charging has also been confirmed.

The camera compartment will include a triple rear camera setup, with a main sensor of 50 Megapixels, an 8 Megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50 Megapixel telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom. The front camera will have a 50 Megapixel sensor. The presence of a fingerprint sensor and a system for "facial unlocking via artificial intelligence" has also been confirmed. The operating system will be Android, but the version is not specified.

As for the design, the images present on the site show a new model, completely different from the previous one. However, it should be noted that there is a disclaimer: "The features and images of the product are for illustrative purposes only. The appearance and specifications of the final product may vary."

The product description, in true Trump style, is as follows: "The T1 is not just a smartphone; it is a bold step towards wireless independence. Designed according to American values, the T1 offers high-level performance, a sleek design, and advanced features, all at an affordable price."
