Lenovo Anticipates the Arrival of a New Legion Smartphone: AI Will Enhance Gaming Performance

Lenovo is set to launch a new gaming smartphone that will arrive four years after the debut of the Legion Y70. The launch is scheduled for next May and has been directly confirmed by the company. This model is potentially very interesting. Here are the first details.

A New Legion Smartphone

In a few weeks, the Lenovo Legion Y70 New Generation, the company's new gaming smartphone, is expected to debut. This model will leverage artificial intelligence to offer advanced performance and will feature a design very similar to that of Motorola smartphones (a brand owned by Lenovo), including a dedicated island for the rear cameras.

However, there is currently no information regarding the technical specifications of Lenovo's model. Under the hood, it may be equipped with a Qualcomm SoC from the 8 series, such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. An advanced cooling system is also possible, designed to keep the chip under control. There will also be ample storage and a large battery, likely utilizing a silicon-carbon unit. The operating system will be Android 16.

Initially, the new Legion model will be exclusive to the Chinese market, where this type of product continues to be in high demand. At present, a launch in Europe does not seem to be in the company's plans, although a change in schedule cannot be ruled out.
