Samsung Changes Plans: Increases Production of Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra

Samsung has finished the first quarter of 2026 well, with growing shipments for its smartphones thanks to the success of the Galaxy S26 range.

To adapt to market demands, the Korean company is preparing to modify its production plans for its top models. In April 2026, the company will indeed increase the production of its S26 while reducing the units planned for S26+, the only one of the three models that continues to not convince users. Let's find out how.

Samsung's New Plans

A new report anticipates Samsung's change of strategy for April 2026. The company initially planned to produce:

  • 800,000 units of Galaxy S26
  • 300,000 units of Galaxy S26+
  • 1.3 million of Galaxy S26 Ultra

However, the market is currently following very specific trends with the Galaxy S26 continuing to achieve excellent results, as well as the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Galaxy S26+, on the other hand, is not taking off.

As a result, the new production plans for April 2026 are as follows:

  • 1.3 million units of Galaxy S26
  • 200,000 units of Galaxy S26+
  • 1.5 million of Galaxy S26 Ultra

Overall, Samsung will produce approximately 600,000 more units compared to the original plans, with a reduction in S26+ and an increase in the other two models.

Also noteworthy is a reduction in the production of the Galaxy A57, from 1.8 million units to 1.6 million units. Production of the Galaxy A17 is also declining, going from 4.4 million to 3.9 million units.
