Apple's First Folding Phone is Coming: Here's What Its Price Could Be

iPhone Ultra

Should be the name chosen by Apple for the marketing of its first folding smartphone, also known online as iPhone Fold. The model is currently the center of a new leak that anticipates the possible launch price.

A Very Expensive iPhone

As the name suggests, iPhone Ultra will be very expensive. The first information on the price was shared by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg. The new folding device from Apple is expected to exceed $2,000, positioning itself as the new top-of-the-line model in Cupertino's smartphone family.

At this time, it is unclear whether this figure refers to the base version or only to certain configurations. In any case, the iPhone Ultra will be significantly more expensive than other models in the iPhone range. Let's recall that the current top of the line, the iPhone 17 Pro Max with 2 TB, costs $1,999 in the United States.

In Europe, we can therefore hypothesize a launch price of about €2,500 for the new iPhone Ultra, considering that the aforementioned 17 Pro Max with 2 TB has a starting price of €2,489. Apple may also choose a starting version of 512 GB (instead of 256 GB), bringing the pricing close to €3,000.

More details regarding the new Ultra model will undoubtedly arrive over the coming weeks. The debut, however, seems confirmed for next September, although according to other sources, the launch is expected to take place at the end of 2026.
