iPhones and Mid-Range Samsung Phones Lead the Sales Ranking of Smartphones in Q4 2025

iPhones dominated the ranking of the best-selling smartphones in the world during the fourth quarter of 2025. Despite record sales, however, the Cupertino company placed "only" 5 smartphones in the Top 10, with Samsung taking the lead among Android models thanks to the excellent results achieved by its mid-range devices, which sold more than the high-end models in the last quarter of the year.

The Best-Sellers

Among the best-selling smartphones of the quarter, we find the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which came in first with a market share of 5%. The second position goes to the iPhone 17, while the iPhone 17 Pro takes the lowest step on the podium. In fourth place is the iPhone 16, which had previously secured the top position in earlier quarters.

Fifth place is held by the Samsung Galaxy A56, the top-ranking Android smartphone, which had a fantastic quarter alongside the Samsung Galaxy A36, taking the sixth position. The two models have been replaced by the A57 and A37. The seventh spot is taken by another Samsung smartphone, the entry-level Galaxy A07.

Rounding out the Top 10 of the best-selling models, we find the iPhone 16e, which was the fourth best-seller in the third quarter, the Xiaomi Redmi A5, one of the most affordable models from the Chinese brand that enters the Top 10 after several months on the market, and then the Samsung Galaxy S25, which achieved results even higher than the Ultra. Samsung's segment managed to enter the Top 10 for the first time precisely during the fourth quarter of the year.
