Insta360 Unveils Snap, the USB-C Selfie Screen Enhancing Vlogs and Photos with the Rear Camera

Insta360 has introduced a new accessory designed for creators and social content enthusiasts: Insta360 Snap, an external display that allows users to make the most of the quality of smartphone rear cameras for selfies and vlogs. The device is a small 3.5-inch touchscreen display that connects directly to the smartphone via USB-C and is positioned on the back of the phone.

Thanks to this solution, users can perfectly frame their shots or videos using the main camera, which is generally much more powerful than the front camera. This is particularly relevant considering that devices like the iPhone 17 or Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra offer rear sensors with quality up to several times higher than those of the front cameras.

The screen also allows for the control of various camera settings, such as zoom and focus, providing a complete and intuitive experience. Unlike existing wireless solutions on the market, Insta360 focuses on a wired connection to ensure reduced latency and greater image stability.

Additional Details on Insta360 Snap

The design is compact and slim, with a thickness of only 6.8 mm. The device magnetically attaches to compatible MagSafe iPhones, but can also be used with other smartphones thanks to a magnetic ring included in the packaging. Additionally, it is compatible with Android devices that support DisplayPort Alt Mode, which is necessary for video signal transmission.

Insta360 has also created a version in collaboration with the AMIRO brand, equipped with an integrated light featuring different color temperatures and brightness levels, ideal for improving lighting during shoots.

The standard model is priced at $79.99, while the version with light retails for $89.99. Compatible with major photo and social media apps, Snap positions itself as a versatile tool for content creation on the go.
