ASUSTOR Lockerstor 24R Pro Gen2: 24 Bay and Dual 10 GbE Connection

ASUSTOR has made available the Lockerstor 24R Pro Gen2, a new 24-bay NAS designed for enterprise-level companies. It supports RAID 50 and 60 and is equipped with dual 10 GbE ports.

The Lockerstor 24R Pro Gen2 is a rack-mountable NAS designed for the enterprise sector. The new model complements the 12 and 16-bay versions, strengthening an ecosystem designed to grow with the needs for capacity and operational continuity.

The NAS can be expanded via the Xpanstor 12R module, which increases the number of bays by 50%, bringing the overall capacity beyond a petabyte. Regarding performance and data protection, the Lockerstor R Pro Gen2 series introduces support for RAID 50 and RAID 60 configurations, options that aim to provide a more advanced balance between security and performance. These architectures are particularly suitable for enterprise environments with heavy workloads and simultaneous access by multiple users, where the ability to maintain continuity and performance becomes an essential requirement.

Technical Specifications

The ASUSTOR Lockerstor 24R Pro Gen2 is based on an AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7745 Octa-Core processor and integrates 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, expandable up to a maximum of 192 GB. In addition to supporting up to 24 disks in its 3.5" bays, it includes an M.2 PCIe Gen 5 SSD slot.

It features two Ethernet interfaces at 10 GbE, with transfer speeds reaching 2309 MB/s for reading and 1886 MB/s for writing.
