PS5 Pro and PSSR 2.0: All Compatible Games and Differences from the Previous Version

With the arrival of the new upscaling system PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution 2.0, PlayStation 5 Pro owners can benefit from a significant improvement in visual quality in games. This technology, based on artificial intelligence and machine learning, allows for 4K images to be produced from lower resolutions, enhancing details and performance.

Unlike traditional methods, PSSR uses a neural network trained to reconstruct missing details, making the image sharper and more stable. Compared to version 1.0, the new iteration reduces issues like flickering and loss of detail, offering a cleaner and more consistent rendering.

Not all games natively support PSSR 2.0, but many titles compatible with the previous version can be updated through a system option. This allows users to improve visual quality without waiting for specific updates from developers, although minor graphical issues may occur in some cases.
