The Samsung Galaxy A27 is Nearly Ready: The SoC Used Could Be a Surprise
Samsung has just unveiled the mid-range Galaxy A37 and A57. Another model is missing to complete the A series: it's the Galaxy A27 5G. The smartphone has just been spotted online, in a benchmark, and could be one step away from debuting.
How will the new Galaxy A27 be?
The new Samsung Galaxy A27, like the A37 and A57, is expected to be little more than a refresh of the previous model, with minor tweaks both to the design and to the technical specifications.
From the information emerged from the benchmark, the smartphone is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, the chip used in the A36, the mid-range launched last year. This is an interesting detail since the A26 uses an Exynos chip (1380 in all markets except South America where it is offered with the 1280).
We cannot rule out that the Galaxy A27 may also arrive on the market in multiple variants, perhaps with an Exynos chip reserved for certain markets. At the moment, however, only the presence of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is confirmed.
Regarding the software, there are no surprises. The operating system will be Android 16 with the customization of One UI and with long-term software support (6 major updates).
The presence of 6 GB of RAM is also confirmed (but there will also be an 8 GB RAM variant). There is no information regarding the storage, which, however, should be either 128 GB or 256 GB. For the battery, there will almost certainly be the usual 5,000 mAh unit. Further details regarding specifications and launch date should arrive shortly.
