Future iPhone 18 Pro Will Not Be Available in Black: Apple Prefers the Return of Red

Rumors about the new iPhones continue as we approach the scheduled debut in September. Today, it's the turn of the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, particularly regarding the colors that Apple will choose for its devices after the success of the orange color, which has certainly overshadowed other color options. According to the first rumors, the black version will not be made, as Apple seems to be leaning towards other solutions.

Black Won't Be Available

Based on early information regarding the colors of the new iPhone 18 Pro, Apple has decided to forego black, preferring to test different color options. This is a deliberate choice. The black shade could remain in the iPhone lineup, but only for other models.

Currently, it is unclear if the orange color will still be available, also because the Cupertino company is reportedly testing a new finish referred to as "deep red" to accompany more traditional colors, among which black will not be included. Apple has also considered purple and brown as possible options for the new Pro models.

Users who love the black color for iPhones might turn to the iPhone Fold. The first foldable device in the Apple lineup is expected to feature more subdued and traditional colors like black, gray, white, or silver. This smartphone is set to debut towards the end of the year. Further confirmations regarding the colors of the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and the Fold are expected in the coming weeks.
