Start of the HyperOS 3.1 rollout
The new version of HyperOS 3.1 for the global market is being rolled out, as confirmed by reports that have emerged online in recent hours. Currently, the update is limited to Europe and only to four products. Xiaomi is updating the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra, the only two components of the 17 series that the company has launched in Europe, along with the POCO Pad and Redmi Pad Pro tablets.
The HyperOS update is based on Android 16 and introduces a series of optimizations for the operating system, aiming to improve performance and efficiency. Notable changes for the user interface include minor tweaks aimed at further optimizing HyperOS. Additionally, some system apps have been rewritten and modified to reduce resource usage and enhance performance.
The HyperIsland has also been updated, making its debut on the mentioned tablets. Another highlight is the implementation of Super OTA, a new feature designed to speed up the update process, minimizing reboot times and errors. There is also native support for Apple's AirPods for quick pairing via pop-up and the ability to leverage spatial audio. More devices are expected to begin receiving HyperOS 3.1 in the coming weeks.
